Sasco:
The town grew up around the Southern Arizona Smelting Company. It began around 1900, but started going down hill within a few years and the Post Office closed in 1919. Start at Red Rock, AZ (off I-10 halfway between Tuscon and the intersection with I-8) and travel west on Sasco Road for about 7.2 miles. Ask for permission to travel on the private road, and watch the right side of the road or you will miss the ruins.
